SpiritLog — Privacy Policy

Effective: October 4, 2026

SpiritLog is a meditation timer that keeps track of your practice. It is built by one independent developer, has no server of its own, and does not collect your data. This page explains what the app stores, where it goes, and how to remove it.

What stays on your phone

Everything you create in SpiritLog is stored on your phone:

Diagnostic logs (optional). If you turn on Settings → Help → Diagnostic logs, the app keeps log files on your phone for 30 days. They describe what the app did and when (for example “session started”, “backup finished”, the name of the preset used). SpiritLog never sends them anywhere. If something goes wrong, you can tap Send logs to email them to the developer — only if you choose to. Turning the logs off deletes them.

Uninstalling SpiritLog deletes all of this.

Google Drive backup (optional)

If you choose to turn on backup, you sign in with your Google account. SpiritLog then:

Your backups go straight from your phone to your Google Drive. The developer never receives them and cannot read them. Google handles them under Google’s Privacy Policy.

To remove backups: sign out in SpiritLog, then in Google Drive open Settings → Manage apps → SpiritLog → Options → Delete hidden app data. You can also revoke SpiritLog’s access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Android may also include SpiritLog in your phone’s own backup to your Google account, depending on your phone’s backup settings. That backup is run by Android, not by SpiritLog.
